Frequently Asked Questions

Gel Melts

What is a gel melt?

A gel wax melt is a flame-free home fragrance product made from clear, jelly-like wax. It’s melted in a wax warmer to release beautiful scents without smoke or soot.

How to use gel melts.

Add your chosen amount of gel wax to your burner and enjoy it for up to 4 hours at a time. Let the fragrance fill your space as it melts. Between each tea-light, allow the gel to cool completely, then peel and flip it before the next burn to keep the scent releasing evenly.

How long do gel melts last?

Gel wax melts typically last longer than traditional soy or paraffin wax melts—often providing fragrance for up to 30 hours depending on how long you melt them each session.

Do they smell stronger than regular melts?

Yes—gel wax is excellent at holding fragrance oils, which means you’ll enjoy a strong, consistent scent throw while melting.

Can they be reused?

Absolutely. You can melt it for a few hours, let it cool and solidify, and reuse it again until the fragrance fades.

Can i use an electric burner?

We have tested both electric and tea light and we found the wax will melt however we personally thought we got a better scent through with a tea light burner.

How do i clean my burner once i've finished?

Once cooled, gel wax is easy to remove—just gently scoop it out or pop it out of the warmer. No residue, no mess.

Candles

Can i reuse my candle pot?

Many eco-friendly candle containers are made to be reused or recycled. After the candle has burned down, you can clean out the container and repurpose it as a pen holder, or small storage jar. The candle pots we make are recyclable and you can reuse them. Click our guide to find out more.

What do you make your candles out of?

Our candles are made using natural soy wax, vegan-friendly fragrance oils, and a handcrafted jesmonite pot. Each candle is eco-friendly, clean-burning, and finished with a CLP-labelled, customisable box.

How can i get the best use out of my candle?

• Our candles aren't designed to full melt on their first burn. If the sides of the vessel still have wax - don't be worried! Don't push them down as you can drown the wick. On your next burn you'll see the wax melt.
• Trim your wick before lighting your candle.
• We suggest to burn your candle 4 hours at time.

Trays

What are your trays made from?

Our trays are handmade from jesmonite, an eco-friendly, water-based material known for its smooth finish and durability. Each piece is hand-poured, sanded, and sealed to protect it from light spills and everyday use. Minor variations in colour and marbling are part of the making process and make every tray unique.

What are the trays for?

You can use our trays for so many different reasons, jewellery display and storage, ornament display, glasses holder, candle holders.

How can i look after my tray?

To care for your jesmonite tray, simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners to keep the surface looking its best. It’s water-resistant but not waterproof, so try to prevent long-term soaking or standing water. Avoid dropping it or placing extremely hot items directly on the tray. With gentle care, your tray will stay bright, smooth, and beautiful for everyday use.

Can my tray break?

Jesmonite is a strong and durable material, but it can break or chip if dropped or handled roughly. With normal, everyday use it should last a long time, but like any handmade home decor piece, it’s best to treat it with care to keep it looking its best.
